ABOUT THE LABOUR DAY ABOUT THE GRAND CONTEST AND BANQUET

In line with activities to commemorate the International Labour Day every year, Paraklete Institute launches the Global Industry Talent Power Contest and Certification Mentoring program in Project Management for workers of all industries to upskill and uphold high performance delivery culture within their organizations and sectors of work. This Global Talent Power Contest and Certification program comes as a follow up to the previous editions which benefited many organizational teams, with training and certification of corporate workforce in project management, improving organization’s ways of working (WoW), enhancing performance, and accelerating organization’s ability to lead high profile initiatives that are critical to enterprise success.

This year’s edition is a multi-day advanced training culminating in a grand contest, with assessment and certification for enterprise workers and professionals, aimed at upskilling and consolidating mastery of the project world of work and evolving organizational teams’ way of working. This training shall span over a month in the months of April and/or July 2024, with direct mentorship and simulations with project experts, and shall be conducted online through synchronous and asynchronous delivery and onsite at designated local countries in Africa, Canada and the USA.

In Canada, Cameroon and Nigeria, the Grand Award Ceremony, Network Conference and Banquet shall be held at the following designated places:

One of the crowning aspects of this year’s labour day is the introduction of the Grand Contest, which has the following objectives:

  1. To enhance the project management skills of employees, enabling them to effectively plan, execute, and oversee projects within their organizational units
  2. To support the professional development of employees through training and certification in project management
  3. Presents a novel opportunity to keep organisational employees on a perpetual state of high performance

Who Should Participate?

This contest will involve public and private sector enterprises from all industries and sizes, and is structured to take place as a training, where employees approved and recommended by their respective organisations will be enrolled to participate in any of the levels (Beginner I, Beginner 2, Professional, Specialist, and Expert).

What Will Constitute The Assessment (Contest Phase)?

The Grand Contest score ranking will be determined through an employee’s overall performance at an objective assessment of their practical know-how on project delivery methodologies or ways of working, power skills and strategic business acumen (how projects contribute to their organization’s missions and value delivery). They are required to have a deep understanding and application of agile values, principles and practices to improve the system of value delivery and high customer-centric tenets as enshrined in the Agile Manifesto.

By working in collaboration with your training resource department to offer a selection of courses and professional development programs that will calibrate your organization team’s growth and maturity to become thoroughly gymnastic, resilient and productive in a hyper competitive and fast changing business landscape.
